Mattathias Duplex

This project was a knockdown rebuild for a friend of ours. They bought this property with the intent to maximise their yield on their site in Jannali. With careful planning, ensuring we capture the solar orientation and generate great cross ventilation, we were able to fit 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, open plan living, dining and kitchen that opens onto a large Alfresco and grassed area for entertaining for both units. During construction, stone was dug up during the earthworks stage which was used to create the retaining wall that runs along the boundary between each unit. The project utilises both render and james hardie linea cladding to give it that modern coastal feel the owner was after.
